A Quick Half-day Tour @ Phuket (Part 2)
Phuket is a very refreshing island and finally having done all my laundry and unpacked everything, I’ve sorted out all the photographs taken during the entire tour.
Something most visitors don’t do is to take a photo of the scenery outside their accommodation. Here is a snapshot (from right to left) of what I see outside the window of the hotel I was staying (Patong City Hotel) when I checked in:
As you can probably see, there are the hotel is surrounded by hills and houses owned or rented by the local residents. Rare can we see such beautiful hills in Singapore. Oh, and the little huts on the roofs you see allow the residents to hang out their clothes for drying.
Oh and not to mention, you can even see the sun set in the evening!
After a short rest, some of us decided to head out to the local (and very modern!) big shopping center in the center of Patong beach.
Intitally, many of us are so excited to check out cheap Adidas there but we quickly learn that it isn’t any cheaper than those back home! ;-(
Fortunately, the shopping center is worth some good photography and I managed to capture this amazing shot from inside. Below are some really nice shots as I explore this huge shopping mall:
The escalator brings visitors down to many artistic and handicraft shops. There is even a bookstore where everything is in Thai language! However, the books there are really interesting and quite up-to-date compared to their English equivalents!
I decided to stray further and found a larger section of the shopping mall. Basically, the Junceylon Mall is made up of 4 sections:
Section 1 - Sporting merchadise like Sporting World
Section 2 - Open area for performance (see above)
Section 3 - Sino Phuket (mostly clothings)
Section 4 - Push carts, banks and yes - Carrefour (it’s not a typo error)
I’ll be sharing more interesting photographs as I will be scaling them down for 2 column display.
Leave me a comment and let me know what you think!
Thanks for dropping by & have a nice day ahead!
